The captain of the Les Guepes has explained what is keeping them motivated ahead of their battle with the People’s Elephant in Port Harcourt

Williamsville AC skipper, Kouassi Diallo has revealed that topping Group C ahead of Enyimba and others remains their greatest motivation in their maiden appearance in the Caf Confederation Cup.

Diallo disclosed that it will give them a sense of pride and self fulfilment if they are able to pip Enyimba, CARA Brazzaville and Djoliba who are illustrious opponents to the top spot and that they have vowed to do that.

He said they are praying for fair officiating against Enyimba because they know that they have a squad that can trouble their hosts irrespective of where the fixture is decided.

“We want to continue to maintain our lead at the top of the table and we know that for that to be possible we must get a good result against Enyimba on Wednesday in Port Harcourt,” Diallo told the media.

“We are the team to beat because we are at the top of the group and others are trying to get to our level. We want to make our participation in the Caf Confederation Cup memorable this year and part of that is by ending the group stage as the leader.

“We are the most underrated team because we are still new on the continent but the results we have posted have served our critics wrong. We know we have the spirits to progress and we hope to prove that against Enyimba.”

Williamsville are on top of the table with four points from two games while CARA Brazzaville and Enyimba are second and third with three points. Djoliba are at the rare with a point from two games.
