Kariobangi Sharks sign defender John Otieno from Nakuru All Stars FC

Kariobangi Sharks have signed defender John Otieno on a four-year deal.

Sharks are busy beefing up the squad ahead of their maiden appearance at the Caf Confederation Cup next season.

“We have completed the signing of defender John Otieno from Nakuru All Stars FC. The utility defender joins us on a four-year deal,” the FKF Shield Cup winners announced via their Facebook page on Monday.

The teenager made 18 appearances in the National Super League, where he scored three goals and became the youngest player to captain the AllStars in a competitive match by wearing the armband in nine league outings. He also earned a National U23 team call-up for his impressive performances.

Otieno now joins Nickson Omondi and Tom Teka, who joined form Police and Nzoia Sugar F.C respectively.

William Muluya also signed Dagoretti High School duo of Finlay Osoro and Peter James Outu on long-term deals. The teenagers are set to join us in December immediately after completing their final secondary school examinations. 

Just like Gor Mahia, who will represent Kenya in the Caf Champions League, Sharks will know their Caf Confederation Cup opponents in the coming days after the initial draw failed to take place last Saturday.
