Kariobangi Sharks beat AFC Leopards in friendly

Newly promoted Kariobangi Sharks beat AFC Leopards 3-2 in a friendly match played on Sunday at Kasarani Stadium. 

Masud Juma’s brace plus Ovella Ochieng’s strike finished the job for the Sharks reducing Gilbert Fiamenyo and Salim Abdalla’s goals to consolations for AFC Leopards.

The match started in a tepid note with a few attempts coming from either side until the 28th minute when Masud opened the scoring past Gabriel Andika.

Abdalla then made use of a corner kick from Allan Kateregga to level matters a few minutes later before Kariobangi  Sharks restored their lead at the stroke of half-time whistle. Ovella Ochieng’ was the man with the goal.

On return, AFC Leopards looked more energized  with a mindset of scoring more goals and indeed their Ghanaian striker Fiamenyo made it 2-2 in the 76th minute. Seven minutes later, Masud gave Kariobangi Sharks the win with a powerful shot past Robert Mboya.

This was AFC Leopards’ fourth friendly match having beaten Embu County combined team, Tutu combined team and Kibera Black Stars.
