A brace from Kabiru Balogun and Gambo Mohammed helped the ten-man Kano-based outfit overcome Gbenga Ogunbote's men in a Week 12 encounter in Kano.
And the tactician, however, admitted the game was a tough contest but insists his defender Chinedu Udoji did not deserve to have been sent off during the game.
“I told whoever that cared to listen that the encounter would be tough given the pedigree and rivalry between the two sides," Ikhana told media.
"And it ended up exactly like that. We played them tactically even with one man short to still go ahead to get the third goal.
“We played more tactically and not technically as Enyimba are more technical than my side.
“He [Udoji] did not deserve the red card as he was pushed. The guy who pushed him should have got his marching orders instead.
"His switch to Kano Pillars is a wise move as it has helped him to regain his form and fitness."
The victory lifts Kano Pillars to seventh with 17 points and will face leaders, Plateau United at the Rwamg Pam Stadium in Jos on Sunday.
