In case Batoto ba Mungu manages to lift the trophy, they will win Sh2million as the prize, and club's President Elly Kalekwa has promised to top that with an extra Sh1m extra with the club sponsors, Betika, also promising a million.
Head coach John Baraza has welcomed the monetary rewards saying it is all the team needs to get the win. “Definitely the promises are extra motivation to the players, that will make them play their hearts out and win the final. When you have been promised something, it gives you an extra energy to give your best, and that is the case here, we can win it for sure.
“Everyone is available for the match which is an extra blessing to us, we believe at the end of the day we will walk away with the Shield,” Baraza told Goal..
This will be the fifth final for Batoto ba Mungu since 2009; they have won twice in the previous four appearances.
