Jesse Were’s goal and another form Chin'gandu was enough to hand Zesco United a 2-0 win over Real Nakonde in the Zambian Premier League.

The Kenyan international got back to the score sheet after a turbulent five weeks of dry spell in the Zambian domestic league.

The former Tusker striker netted Zesco United’s second goal from a direct free-kick to double the former Zambian champions lead after John Chin'gandu had given the visitors the lead early in the first half.

The two goals ensured that Zesco United completed a double over Real Nakonde whom they also beat 1-0 in the first leg. Zesco United moved to within three points off leaders Green Buffalos, who are top with 53 points.

Buildcon that also boasts of two Kenyan internationals, John Mark Makwata and Clifton Miheso are seventh on the log while Ismail Dunga’s City of Lusaka are rooted at the bottom of the 20-man team with 11 points after 27 games.
