NorthEast United head coach Avram Grant believes motivation won't be an issue when his team take on Jamshedpur FC in Indian Super League (ISL) on Saturday. With 11 points from 13 games, the Highlanders are ninth on the table.
"It will be a tough competition. Jamshedpur are a very good team. They are very good in attack. They are playing at home so it will be tough. It will be a good game tomorrow," said Grant.
NorthEast are winless in their last three games and qualification for playoffs is already out of the equation but Grant believes motivation should not be an issue for the players.
"Footballers should always have the motivation to play. We are playing well at the moment. Last match we played but unfortunately couldn't win. We will try our best tomorrow and try to get a win."
New signing John Mosquera received praise from his coach but he might have to wait before getting to play a full match. " John Mosquera is a very good player. He has played well so far. But I don't think he is ready to play 90 mins."
The Highlanders are set to play three games in eight days and Grant is no stranger to fixture congestion.
"I know what fixture congestion is. It has been hectic for us. We are giving lot of efforts. Not only for us also for other teams."
"We want to make our own strategies it doesn't depend on others teams. Like any game we want to play good attacking football and work on opponent's weaknesses," Grant spoke about taking the game to Coppell's men.
"(The game has) no connection with previous game. (It is) a new team now and a new strategy. We cannot connect two games," he concluded.
