Mxolisi Macuphu has been called up to replace injured Lebo Mothiba in South Africa’s Africa Cup of Nations squad, the nation confirmed on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old was reported to have suffered a hamstring injury while on parade for the French Ligue 2 side and will not be fit on time for the clash against Libya.

Macuphu becomes the fourth player to be called up as a replacement following the arrival of Tiyani Mabunda for Hlompho Kekana, Aubrey Modiba for Bongani Zungu and Vincent Pule in place of Themba Zwane.
