The attacking sensation is keeping his feet firmly on the ground and is eyeing rapid development under coach Kayode Olujohungbe in Akure

Franklin Sasere is refusing to get dismayed despite limited playing chances in Sunshine Stars’ squad.

The starlet who has featured twice for  struggling Owena Whales this term, reveals that expectations are high for him to be a regular face in Kayode Olujohungbe’s side, but he will not be in a rush because he has a lot to learn.

''I don’t have regular playing time, but the truth is that I’m learning,'' Sasere told Goal.

''I’m not disturbed because during training every day, I learn new things and trying to adapt with the football pattern of the team.

''When I never got my NPFL debut, family and friends were calling me to ask if am going to play or not. I tell them all the players cannot play at the same time - don't get me wrong, I want to play but sometimes you have to fight for it.

''With Sunshine Stars, I'm learning new things, new situations, new manners, new football, new philosophy which will make a difference.''

Sasere who made his long awaited debut in the Nigeria Professional Football League Abia Warriors said he was jittery when he replaced Kadiri Samad. He has vowed to keep working hard to help his team finish well at the end of the season.

''I was obviously nervous when I made my league debut but later I became calm. Football is not easy as people think it is,’’ he continued.

''It was a good experience but I must keep working hard, and I believe the coaches are doing their best to ensure the team gets stronger.’’
