Harambee Stars found the net twice to get the better of All Whites in their opening fixture of the Four-Nation competition

Cliffton Miheso has admitted that the weather pattern in India made it difficult for Kenya in the opening match of Hero Intercontinental Cup.

Stars came from a goal down to edge out New Zealand thanks to Miheso’s equalizer and a match winner from Ovella Ochieng.

The match was played under heavy rains and the Buildcon FC forward took advantage of the slippery ground to bang home his first goal for Harambee Stars from a dead ball.

“Rains made it difficult to play but the teams managed to go through and we're happy with it. It isn't the first time I scored from a free kick, I took the moment as it came.

“We do practice free kicks in the training and I'm happy it came off well.”

Kenya will next take on host India in the second match before rounding up the tournament with a game against China Taipei.
