Gor Mahia rubbish 'neglect' allegation against former coach Dylan Kerr

Gor Mahia have termed as ‘side shows’ the allegations that the club neglected former coach Dylan Kerr.

Gor Mahia Organizing Secretary Judith Nyangi went public on the poor living condition the coach was allegedly subjected to even as K’Ogalo fans still come to terms with the reality that they will have to do without the services Kerr; one of the most successful tacticians to have handled Gor Mahia recently.

Nyangi claimed on Social Media that Kerr was living under a despicable state in Nairobi. The outspoken official further asserted that the Englishman lived in a house with no electricity and running water; forcing him to occasionally take a shower from the swimming pool.

But Gor Mahia Deputy Secretary General Ronald Ngala rubbished allegations."We used to pay him Sh150,000 for rent and later reduced it to Sh100,000.

"The coach had requested that we (club) give him the money and he finds a place to stay and we obliged. So if he chose a place where there is a frequent power outage, how is that our problem? It did not concern us as long as he was performing on the pitch.

"I just feel it is a way of making us look bad when in the real sense we are not; if he had a better offer he could have just said so."

Kerr, who has also coached in Tanzania, has since been linked with a move to South Africa.
