Gor Mahia FC and Ivorian striker Ephraim Guikan have officially parted ways, Goal has learnt.
The striker was signed by the Kenyan Champions from Mauritius’ AS Port Louis 2000, but has struggled to settle down.
Guikan failed to command a starting place in the Dylan Kerr squad and was used sparingly, mostly as a substitute.
K'Ogalo Deputy Secretary General Ronald Ngala has confirmed that the forward is on his way out.
"Guikan is leaving, he requested for release for personal reasons and we had no alternative but to grant him his wish. We have rushed to sign Erisda Sekisambu as his replacement before the new season.
"We have not released any other player; we will make some decisions after the match against Everton. As it is, everyone else is with us."
