Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has hit out at the Afraha Stadium management for failing to maintain the pitch to the best quality.

K’Ogalo was the home team at the same venue on Thursday, where they defeated visitors Chemelil Sugar by a solitary goal, scored in the 77th minute by Eliud Lokuwom to an open a 17-point lead at the top of the 18-team league table.

Kerr is not happy with the condition of the pitch, which he believes had a big say as far as the style of play is concerned. “Simple the field dictated the game, even Barcelona cannot play on that pitch, they would not even step foot on it. No fluidity no decent passing crosses and when we had chances their keeper was very good.

“I thank my players for their resilience and focus, it gave us the result that we wanted and three points for us. We can now turn our attention to the Caf match against Rayon Sports on Sunday,” Kerr told Goal.

Gor Mahia now needs five points to claim their 17th Kenyan Premier League title.
