‘Good team performance’ – Gueye hails Everton’s first away victory

The Toffees clinched their third win of the season at the King Power Stadium much to the delight of the Senegal international

Idrissa Gueye has praised Everton’s performance to secure a 2-1 victory over Leicester City in Saturday’s Premier League game.

Goals from Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson rendered Ricardo Pereira’s effort a mere consolation as the Goodison Park outfit nicked their first away win this term.

The result saw Marco Silva’s men climb to the 11th spot in the league standings with 12 points from eight games.

And Gueye who was on parade for the entire duration of the encounter took to the social media to salute his team.

“Three points away. Good team performance,” Gueye posted on Instagram.

Gueye has made seven league appearances this season and will hope to continue his consistency for Everton when they clash with Crystal Palace on October 21 after the international break.
