Ghana skipper Eric Ayiah has picked the USA as the Black Starlets' biggest threat at the group stage of the 2017 Fifa Under-17 World Cup in October.
The two teams will lock horns in Group A, together with Colombia and hosts India as revealed by the final draw conducted on Friday.
Ghana face the USA in their second group game on October 9, three days after opening the tournament against Colombia and three days before playing as guests to the hosts.
“We know the countries in our group but we don’t know anything about the teams, so it’s going to be difficult but we are going to prepare very well to face them," Ayiah told Starr FM.
“USA may be our biggest enemy because they are a football country but we will work harder to overcome them."
Ghana and the USA have twice met at the U-17 World Cup.
At Ecuador 95, Abu Iddrisu and Charles Akwei were on target to hand the Black Starlets a 2-0 win in the third group game. Ghana went on to win that competition.
And at New Zealand 99, the Black Starlets again emerged 2-0 victors in the third-place playoff, thanks to goals from Razak Pimpong and Ishmael Addo.
Ghana, two time world champions, return to the tournament for the first time since finishing fourth at South Korea 2007.
