Desire Oparanozie scored four goals in a clinical display of finishing as the Super Falcons dazed the Queen Scorpion at the Agege Stadium

Gambia were torn apart 6-0 by a ruthless Nigeria at Agege Stadium in Monday’s Africa Women Cup of Nations second round qualifier.

Four goals from Desire Oparanozie and a brace from Asisat Oshoala powered the Super Falcons to a flawless victory – while the visitors will lick their wounds for poor defending.

Oparanozie became the joint second-leading scorer in the qualifying series as Thomas Dennerby’s lady took the lead from the penalty mark in the third minute courtesy the four-goal hero, with Oshoala doubling the lead in the 44th minute.

Goalkeeper Aminata Gaye picked the ball her net four more times in the second half as Mariama Sowe's women had no answer to Nigeria's passing and movement.

The Super Falcons were a class apart and the Gambians sportingly applauded as they became the third team after Ethiopia and South Africa to score more than five goals in a game in the qualifiers.
