Former Real Madrid star Michel Salgado headlines talent hunt in Dubai

Real Madrid legend Michel Salgado was in Dubai this week for the third leg of the duFC Football Champions group stages.

The former Spanish international is the Championship Director of the du Football Champions which features the UAE Schools Cup and Streets Cups and offers a professional scouting platform to develop young players.

Over 2500 players took part in the group stages in Dubai. The tournament is the only international football scouting platform in partnership with La Liga.

Salgado commented on the Dubai talents saying, “Year on year we see kids from all walks of life coming out to duFC for the chance of being discovered and there are indeed great hidden talents across the UAE.

UAE Schools Cup

In the boys U16 category, American International School beat Greenwood International School. Returning champions Choueifat International School came back strongly to win their first game of this season.

In the boys U14 category Philadelphia Private School winners of duFC 2015/2016 season enjoyed a convincing win over Gems Our Own Indian School.

UAE Streets Cup

After Dubai Group Stages Week 1, the top teams that emerged included Ultimate XI, Goal Diggers FC and Abu Hail ST.

Girls Challenge

Adastra and Fusion FC topped their groups.
