India's Manvir Singh has been chosen as last week's Fans' Asian Player of the Week, following his impressive performance in his team's 3-1 win over Pakistan in the SAFF Cup 2018.
The 22-year-old scored a brace and was also named Goal's Asian Player of the Week.
After a goalless first-half, Manvir scored his first in the 49th minute. Ashique Kuruniyan hared down the wings and sent in a cross from the left which was deflected in smartly by Manvir. The second goal was even better. In the 86th minute, Lallianzuala Chhangte ran down the middle of the pitch, evaded two defenders and passed it to Vinit Rai who rolled it to Manvir who blasted it home.
Also in the fray for the honour was Lallianzuala Chhangte who was also impressive in his side's win.
But the fans made their voice count as Manvir received a whopping majority of the votes.
