Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane has officially joined social media application Twitter.

The 55-year-old tactician made the announcement on Saturday via a video.

Mosimane has joined fellow local coaches such as Rulani Mokwena, Steve Komphela and Gavin Hunt, who are also on Twitter.

The accomplished coach revealed he had been “holding off for a long time”, but has since decided to be part of social media.

"Hi everybody, this is Pitso Mosimane speaking," Mosimane said in a video.

"I've been holding off, holding off for a long time and now I have reacted. I'm on social media and this is my social media account."

Most Twitter users were pleased to see the former SuperSport United head coach join the platform.

The former Bafana Bafana coach was closing in on 20,000 followers on Sunday.
