Enyimba train in Casablanca ahead of Raja’s Caf Confederation Cup fixture

The People’s Elephant got down to business without wasting time as soon as they landed in Morocco for their Caf Confederation Cup tie

Enyimba had their first training session on Monday evening the same day they touched down on Casablanca ahead of the Caf Confederation Cup second round, semi-final encounter with Raja Casablanca slated for Wednesday.

The People’s Elephant departed the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja at about 6 am on Monday and they landed at the Mohammed VI International Airport, Casablanca at exactly 10:12 am.

The delegation comprising of 18 players and other officials led by the Chairman of the club, Felix Anyansi-Agwu quickly settled into the OumPalace to a sumptuous meal after which the team checked into their hotel rooms for some rest.

Ernest Governor who is a defender with Enyimba and one of the players that travelled to Morocco informed that they left Nigeria with high hope and they are focused on the task at hand which is to strive and overturns the first leg disadvantage on Wednesday before their opponents’ fans.

He said the players have put behind them their home loss and have their sights on redeeming their image in Casablanca irrespective of what their hosts threw at them on the day of the match.

“Yes, we arrived safely and are in high spirits after we landed in Casablanca without much stress,” Governor told Goal.

“We are due to train later in the evening after we must have rested a little from the stress of yesterday’s (Sunday) and the flight to Morocco too. We are going to do our utmost to ensure that we give a good account of ourselves.”
