The Solid Miners’ head coach has expressed optimism that his side will return to winning ways against Enyimba on Sunday.

Nasarawa United’s head coach, Kabiru Dogo has expressed optimism that his wards will bounce back from their Sunday loss to Remo Stars when they face Enyimba this weekend in another explosive league game at the Lafia Stadium.

Eric Dufegha broke the hearts of the Solid Miners when he netted the solitary goal in the 55th minute for the Sky Blue Stars and that was seven minutes after the visitors’ player, Jide Williams was given the marching orders by the centre referee for rough tackle.

Dogo who was reacting to the loss disclosed that the defeat to Remo Stars altered a lot of things but that he believes his players have learnt so much from it and that he expects them to react better when they host Enyimba on Sunday in the return leg of the first round encounter which the People’s Elephant won 2-1 in Calabar.

“It was an unexpected loss by Nasarawa United’s standard. I am not trying to disparage Remo Stars. It was a game we prepared for with an away win in mind but it was gone the way it had and we must only look forward to future games and pray that there won’t be a repeat of the type of result got in Shagamu,” Dogo told Goal.

“I must also state that the red card to one of my players didn’t help our cause too. We are going back home to revisit what we have done wrong and strive to come out with a good tactics against Enyimba on Sunday.”

Nasarawa United are eighth on the log with 34 points from 24 games.
