After beating Italy comprehensively, Al Hain-Cole expects Vítezslav Lavicka's side to aim for the last four on the European Under-21 Championships

The Czech Republic will be hoping to snatch the final place in the semi-finals of the European Under-21 Championship when they take on Denmark at the Marszalek Pilsudski Stadium on Saturday.

Having bounced back from an opening 2-0 defeat against Germany to beat Italy in their second Group C game, Vitezslav Lavicka's men are available at 3/4 (1.75) with bet365 to give themselves a chance of finishing as the best group runner-up with another victory in Krakow.

The only team yet to earn a single point in Poland, the Red-Whites are on offer at 7/2 (4.50) to go out on a high by coming out on top in their final game, and 14/5 (3.80) to at least avoid another defeat by claiming a draw.

After dropping just two points in 10 qualification matches, it is fair to say that Niels Frederiksen's side have been one of the major disappointments at this competition.

Although placed in a difficult group, they would certainly have expected better than to be without a point or even a single goal to their name after two fixtures.

In retrospect, perhaps a drop-off in results following their successful qualification should have been taken as a warning sign for Frederiksen's team, which lost two and won just one of their four warm-up friendly matches - scoring only three goals in that run.

With nothing left to play for, it seems unrealistic to expect the already-eliminated Danes bouncing back when they take on the Little Lions, who should be fired up for a crucial win after their morale-boosting performance against Italy.

All things considered, those 3/4 (1.75) odds seem generous on the Czechs giving themselves their best chance of progression by consigning their opponents to a fifth defeat in six games.
