Christian Theoharous signs with Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach

A big move for the young Aussie

After a breakout season with A-League side Melbourne Victory, Christian Theoharous has sealed a move to Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Theoharous played 18 games this past season and scored once with reports late in the campaign suggesting a move to Europe was on the cards.

The 18-year-old's signature was confirmed by Borussia Moenchengladbach with the intention for the Australian to play in their U23 side in Regionalliga West.

"Christian Theoharous is a viable player," Borussia's director of the talent development center Roland Virkus said in a club statement.

"We are delighted that he has chosen Borussia."

Gladbach finished the Bundesliga season ninth and have also recently signed ex-Tottenham youngster Keanan Bennetts and Moise Ngwisani to the club.
