The Serie A holders are 13/2 (7.50) and represent bet365's biggest liability ahead of Europe's premier club competition getting underway this week

Cristiano Ronaldo swapping Real Madrid for Juventus has seen a wave of support for the Italian side winning the Champions League this season.

The market is led by Manchester City who are available at 9/2 (5.50) with bet365 but Pep Guardiola's men aren't the biggest losers in the book.

The online sportsbook have confirmed that as of Monday 17 September, their leading liability in the outright winner market is Juve, who have been well backed since the arrival of the competition's leading scorer in Turin.

Initially 16/1 (17.0) to go all the way, the reigning Italian champions have shortened all the way to 13/2 (7.50) ahead of the first round of group matches getting underway.

Having lost out in two of the last four finals of this competition, bettors clearly feel that Ronaldo is the key to his new side going one better. The 33-year-old has 120 goals in the Champions League and bet365 go 6/1 that he lands the top scorer prize for the seventh consecutive season.

bet365’s Steve Freeth said “He may have left long-time holders Real Madrid and be advancing in years, but Ronaldo still has plenty of pulling power as far as punters are concerned.”

Barcelona (6/1) are the only other club ahead of Juventus in the betting with Paris Saint-Germain available at 15/2 (8.50). Real Madrid, despite having won the last three editions are 8/1 (9.0) chances after seeing both Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo depart the Bernabeu during the summer.

Bayern Munich lifted the trophy in 2011 and are 10/1 (11.0) to replicate that success ahead of Atletico Madrid and Liverpool (12/1), both of whom have fallen at the final hurdle in recent years.

Bet365 are betting on a wide range of markets including how many English teams will qualify for the knockout stages. Currently it’s 13/8 (2.63) that every Premier League participant ensures they make the last 16 and Manchester City are 4/5 (1.80) to be the best performing team for England’s top tier.
