After a long round of rumors that Yanga management will terminate Donald Ngoma contract and part ways, the club through its team manager has squashed the rumors and revealed that the Zimbabwean striker will remain with the club for a further two seasons.
Ngoma has not featured for Yanga this season due to a knee injury sustained during a premier league match against Ndanda FC. He has been absent for six month, an absence that has led many people close to the club to feel that the player is over playing the extent of the injury so that he cannot feature for the club.
Last week Yanga’s Chief Secretary Boniface Mkwasa revealed that the drama surrounding the player and why he can’t play for the club while he is being paid fully will be settled soon with the team’s medical set to give a report.
But speaking to Goal today Yanga team manager of Yanga Hafidh Salehe revealed that Ngoma is expected to return back early this week to training.
"Ngoma is doing well and he continues to recover quickly. I hope this week he can start training with the team before coach can give him chances to feature in Premier league matches" said Hafidh.
The manager further revealed that say there is no truth in the rumors surrounding the cancelation of Ngoma’s contract because his injury was serious and according to medical specialists it takes a long time to recover from the injury and continue playing.
