Betting Special: Aubameyang to showcase his top class credentials at the Bernabeu

Wednesday's clash between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund will be the 10th meeting between these two sides since 2012. The previous nine encounters have produced 31 goals, underlining the fact that this has been a hugely entertaining European fixture.

Last season the two sides clashed at the Bernabeu in December and played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with Karim Benzema scoring both goals for the European champions.

The Frenchman could do with getting himself on the scoresheet on Wednesday, with criticism of him abound in the Spanish capital due to a lacklustre season which has seen him net just four times across 13 appearances in the Champions League and La Liga.

Benzema did score twice in Madrid's last European game against APOEL, though, and dabblebet price him at 4/6 (1.67) to find the back of the net once more.

Cristiano Ronaldo unsurprisingly leads the market at 1/3 (1.33) to score at anytime, with the Portuguese forward currently the tournament's top scorer with eight strikes. Ronaldo has netted in all five of Los Blancos' Champions League games this term, although the 32-year-old has only opened the scoring once, and he is offered at 2/1 (3.00) to break the deadlock against Dortmund.

It was Luka Modric who broke the deadlock in Madrid's last Champions League game and the Croatia international is priced at 14/1 (15.00) to do so again, while captain Sergio Ramos is available at 17/4 (5.25) to score his second European goal of the season.

Dortmund, for their part, are already eliminated from Europe's premier club competition, but they need a win to guarantee third spot and passage to the Europa League. Their five matches so far have seen the Germans score five goals (one in each game) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the only player to have netted more than once.

The Gabon international has two tallies to his name and is offered at 5/4 (2.20) to add to that number, a price that looks tempting given that he has scored in his last three games against Real Madrid.

Elsewhere for the visitors, their only other forward to have scored in the competition this term, Andriy Yarmolenko, is available at 21/10 (3.10) while former Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin is priced at 5/1 (6.00) to net on his return to the Bernabeu. Yet it is certainly Aubameyang that makes the most appeal ahead of this clash.
