Sofapaka have unveiled betting company Betika as their official sponsor.
Batoto ba Mungu escaped relegation at the end of 2016 after posting poor results in the season due to lack of finances and their President Elly Kalekwa was out to secure a sponsor in 2017 for the team to restore their reputation.

On Friday, at a Nairobi hotel, Betika was announced the sponsors for three years in a deal worth Sh150million. An elated Kalekwa said the club was now ready to challenge for titles this season. "We can now focus and play football. It was not easy to operate without a sponsor for the past seasons.
"Now that we have a new sponsor on board, I want to warn out opponents to expect a tough Sofapaka side. I also request the government not to kill betting firms as they are helping in build football in the country."
It now takes the number of betting firms sponsoring Kenyan Premier League clubs to three; SportPesa, who sponsors Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards and Betway, who supports Mathare United.
