Bandari coach Bernard Mwalala cautious ahead of Wazito and Thika Unites games

After taking on Wazito, the Dockers will wind up the season with a clash against already relegated Thika United

Bernard Mwalala says that Bandari’s next two games will be even tougher when they face relegation-threatened side, Wazito over the weekend.

After Wazito, Bandari will wind up the season with a clash against already relegated Thika United but Mwalala has warned that the milkmen would want to leave behind a lasting history as they drop to the National Super League.

“We have two matches remaining and they will be difficult games for sure because both teams are fighting for their places. We need to have the highest level of concentration in order to pick more points now that we have already sealed the second spot,” Mwalala said after he played out to a 1-1 draw against Sofapaka on Thursday.

Bandari took their season’s tally of points to 59, and the extra picked from Sofapaka means they became the first club from the Coastal region to have claimed the second spot in the league.

Mwalala, who is yet to lose a game since he joined the Dockers in July from Nzoia Sugar, rued missed chances in the home draw with Batotot Ba Mungu.

“We have been missing so many chances. That has been a major challenge because we need to be taken our chances.

“But am happy with the point because since I joined Bandari, we’ve never found ourselves in a situation where an opponent is leading and we come from behind to pick something from them.

“We have achieved our season’s target of finish in top two. I know that’s something big but we are not going to sleep on our laurels. We are going to fight for maximum points so that we hit at least 60 point mark, which will be another record."
