Are Esperance playing mind games ahead Caf Champions League return leg?

Gor Mahia have insisted that their Caf Champions League return leg match against Esperance will take place on Saturday and not Sunday.

K’Ogalo will travel to Tunis in search of any scoreline draw having held the African giants to a scoreless draw on March 7.

But Esperance seems to have employed mind game tactics ahead of the crunch reverse fixture. The host pushed the new kick-off date backwards by a day, according to a tweet on club’s official account.

Gor Mahia CEO, Lordvic Aduda, has, however, rubbished the information coming from Tunisia, insisting that the match is on Saturday as earlier communicated by Caf.

“We are yet to get any communication from Caf in regards to the new change of dates. As far as we are concerned, the match is on Saturday,” Aduda told Goal.

Esperance will go into the match under pressure after playing out to a barren draw away in Nairobi.

Esperance beat Gor Mahia 5-0 at home to knock out the Kenyan champions on 8-2 aggregate at the same stage four years ago.
