Speaking to Goal ahead of their crunch Malaysia Cup group match against Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT), Selangor winger Andik Vermansah said that the Red Giants need to take to the pitch this Saturday with a winning mentality.

The Red Giants need to defeat the Southern Tigers at Larkin in order to snatch the top spot in Group D. JDT have confirmed their 2017 Super League title with three rounds to go, but this season they have been defeated twice by Selangor.

"JDT are a formidable side, but we managed to defeat them twice this season. We must carry over that winning mentality to Saturday so we can beat them again, this time at Larkin.

"And as much as we will focus on attacking, our defending must still be rock solid as JDT forwards are very dangerous. We must avoid conceding, as we'd only be putting ourselves in a sticky situation," noted Andik when met after training on Thursday.
