2019 AFC Asian Cup Rival Watch - Bahrain held again

India is grouped with Thailand, UAE and Bahrain at the upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2019...

India's 2019 AFC Asian Cup group rival Bahrain were in action against China on Monday.

India are drawn alongside Thailand, UAE and Bahrain in Group A at the Asian Cup set to be held in UAE in January 2019.

After a 1-1 draw against the Philippines three days ago, Miroslav Soukup's men failed to find a match-winner once again as they registered a goalless draw on Monday against China. Former Juventus and Italy coach Marcelo Lippi's China proved to be a difficult opponent for Bahrain to create chances against.

Tournament hosts UAE  are currently in Spain as part of their preparations. They took on Trinidad & Tobago, who are placed 14 spots below UAE in the FIFA rankings, in Girona but were handed a 2-0 loss.

Alberto Zaccheroni’s side is set to play Laos in Spain on Tuesday (September 11, 2018).
