The Fire Club's management member has come out in defence of the signing of free agent Yahaya Mohammed

Aduana Stars communication director Amo Gyamfi Collins has insisted that they made the right decision after re-signing former striker Yahaya Mohammed in a two-year deal.

The 28-year-old left Dormaa Ahenkro in 2016 but mutually terminated his contract with Tanzanian giants Azam FC, reuniting with his former teammates.

And with Aduana Stars playing Libyan side Al Tahadi Bengarzi in the preliminary round of the Caf Champions League, Gyamfi believes Yahaya's experience will be crucial in their run to qualify to the next stage of the competition.

“We are happy to sign Yahaya Mohammed again. He will wear his favourite number 11 jersey next season," Gyamfi was quoted as saying by Footballmadeinghana.

“What’s more important is that he has the needed experience to help us in the Caf Champions League.

“He also has acquired experience after playing in France and Libya. Now, we're meeting a Libyan side in the preliminary round of the Champions League so he will definitely bring on board his experience to help us eliminate the Libyan club and also subsequent opponents,” he added.

Aduana will host Tahadi in the first leg on the weekend of February 8-10 before the return leg takes place seven days later in Tunisia.
