Adebayor pleased with Togo’s preparations for 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

Togo captain Emmanuel Adebayor has expressed satisfaction with the country's preparations for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Claude Le Roy’s side engaged in two friendly matches this month ahead of the Afcon qualification series billed to resume in September.
The west Africans settled for a 2-2 draw against Cote d’Ivoire on Saturday, three days after a goalless encounter with Madagascar at the Stade Municipal in Saint-Leu-la-Foret.

“It was a great honour to represent my country during these two friendly games. I am glad the preparation is going well,” Adebayor wrote on Instagram.
“We have a very young group that is willing to learn and fight for our nation. Huge thanks to my fellow Togolese people in France that came out to watch and show support, also to those that were watching from Togo and around the world.
“Together we will do everything possible to get a spot at the AFCON 2019 in Cameroon. Let’s do this.”
