ACL a personal challenge for me – Aguirre

Al Wahda take on Al Wahdat of Jordan for a spot in the AFC Champions League, which is a personal challenge for their coach.

Javier Aguirre, Al Wahda's manager, has spoken out about his team's game against Al Wahdat of Jordan in the AFC Champions League qualifiers.

The one-match challenge will see the winners progressing to the group stage of the most prestigious competition in Asia, and the Mexican takes it as a personal challenge for him.

"We are mentally and physically fit," said Aguirre at the press conference on Tuesday. "We will play with our full strength."

"The competition is a personal challenge for me and the players. We are ambitious to prove our quality and make our fans happy."

Hamdan Al Kamali, the club's defender, in turn, promised to give everything they have.

"My teammates and I will give everything to this game and we will fight till the end. Our goal is to make everyone happy in the AFC Champions League," said the 27-year-old.
