Ulinzi Stars name squad for Caf CC duty

Ulinzi Stars have named a 26-man squad for continental competition

Ulinzi Stars have released their squad to represent the country in the 2017 Caf Confederation Cup tournament.

In the 26- man list, the Soldiers have included most of their regulars who saw the side go all the way to the finals of the GOtv Shield where they lost by a solitary goals to Tusker FC.

While confirming the list to Goal, Coach Benjamin Nyangweso expressed confidence in the players promising fans a good show at the continental stage.

“This is a squad I believe in and I’m optimistic that the players will give their best against other Africa’s finest clubs. We have not set a huge target but we can promise some commendable job.”

Winger Baron Oketch, who was acquired from Gor Mahia on a one year loan deal, is also in the squad which includes Benson Sande, Justine Onwong'a and Evans Amwoka.

They  will play against Libya's Hilal Benghazi next month in the first round of the competition.
