Nandwa: AFC Leopards win, a boost for Thika

The milkmen came from a goal down to down Ingwe 2-1 and claim maximum points in the Kenyan Premier League

Thika United coach James Nandwa says beating AFC Leopards is a boost for his side as the first leg nears conclusion.

The milkmen came from a goal down to down Ingwe 2-1 and claim maximum points in a Kenyan Premier League match. Nandwa was happy to see how his charges reacted, and he is sure the outcome shall affect the team positively.

“Sometimes you need wins like those in order to get the much needed confidence to move forward. It is a plus to the team and I think it will spar them to work harder believing in their abilities and potential," Nandwa told Goal.

"In the second leg we need to start on a high, but first, we have to make sure we get something from the remaining fixture in the first leg.”

Thika shall be away to Bandari in their last fixture set for Thursday this week, hoping to improve on their tally of fourteen points.
