AFC Leopards coach Ivan Minnaert has admitted that he is now getting disappointed and worried with the team’s recent poor run of results.
Speaking after watching his side throw away a deserved lead and lose to Thika United on Saturday, the Belgian tactician said it was unfortunate that his team has become a 25 minute side.
He said, “We are 1-0 up and we don’t defend well and then give away a cheap goal because of defending and it becomes 1-1. We again return for the second half and give away another stupid goal because wee don’t attack and give our opponents space.
“I don’t know what to say now. We are becoming a desperate team and a team of 25 minutes.”
Before the defeat that extends Ingwe’s winless run to six matches, Minnaert pointed out that he was not under any pressure to perform. “I am not under pressure; I have done my job as a coach and shall continue offering my best to this great team.”
Ingwe have now gone for six matches without registering a win in the league, a result that pushes them down the 16-team table standings.
