2010 Kenya Premier League champions Ulinzi Stars have named a squad of 30 players for 2014 season.
The squad includes seven new signings, who were picked from within the military ranks. Only one player was released, Wycliffe Ochomo after his contract ran out in December.
Five others have been given a rest to recuperate from injury; four are in military training while two are in peacekeeping mission. Goalkeeper Frankline Miheso, Ibrahim Ismail, Kevin Ouma, Josiah Okello and Chester Okoyo are all nursing injuries while Mark Makwatta, Boniface Onyango, Justine Onwong’a and Oscar Wamalwa are in military training.
Goalie Jacktone Odhiambo and Allan Muhati are out on peace keeping missions. The team concluded pre-season training in Mombasa and Loitoktok and are due in Nakuru this weekend to wind up preparations before they begin 2014 title hunt at home against Chemelil Sugar.
