Chemelil Sugar pulls out of GOtv Shield tournament

Sugar millers becomes the third team after Mathare United and Nakuru All Stars to exit from the knock out competition that kicks-off on Saturday
Chemelil Sugar have become the third Kenyan Premier League side to pull out of GOtv Shield tournament.

The sugar millers were supposed to play Bondo United at Moi Stadium on Sunday. However, according to a source in Football Kenya Federation, Chemelil have informed them of their inability to take part in the event.

"Chemelil have pulled out and their opponents will get a walk over," the source told Goal on Friday.

Chemelil join Mathare United and Nakuru All Stars, who pulled out this week citing financial constraints. The sugar millers are believed to have pulled out so as to concentrate on their performance in top tier league.
