Afraha Stadium in Nakuru will host two last Group matches of Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup. The stadium was held in last minute repairs as they worked hard to get a piece of the pie.
Kenya FA President Sam Nyamweya was at the venue this past weekend and said he was impressed with the work at the stadium.
“Afraha Stadium in Nakuru will host the last two group matches of Cecafa Senior challenge tournament which were earlier scheduled for Nyayo National Stadium. This was arrived after discussions with the local organizing committee and tournament broadcasters Supersport.”
The matches which will be played at Afraha are Uganda v Sudan and Rwanda v Eritrea, all Group C games on Thursday, December 5.
The state and readiness of the Moi Stadium in Kisumu is still unknown with the stadium having been scheduled to host semi-final matches. Machakos County Stadium, Mombasa Municipal and Nyayo stadia are the other confirmed venues for the tournament.
