The Toffees are winless in their last five Premier League matches, including their goalless draw against Tottenham last time out. Benitez and his team have been dealing with injuries to key players, highlighting issues with depth in the final third. It will take a special effort to take all three points away from the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City have to react after seeing Chelsea and Liverpool win in the Premier League yesterday. City enter the contest trailing the Blues by six points in third place, but a victory would bring Pep Guardiola's men back into striking distance. Before the international break, City were outstanding to secure a 2-0 win over Manchester United on the road. They will require a similar effort to take all three points today against a determined Everton outfit.
