Commentary

That's all for now though, goodbye!
The result means that Brighton remain in sixth, although they move within one point of top spot. Palace, meanwhile, stay in 15th.
Maupay's dramatic equaliser rescues a point for Brighton. Palace were in control throughout the first half, and - despite Brighton misses from Welbeck and Trossard - they deserved their lead. It arrived when Gallagher was fouled by Trossard inside the box, allowing Zaha to step up and knock the penalty in. Brighton were more adventurous in the second half, but struggled to create any clear chances. All that changed in the 95th minute though. Maupay latched onto Veltman's hopeful punt over the top and kept his composure to lob Guaita and send the Brighton fans into raptures, as their side secured a late 1-1 draw.

90' + 6' Yellow Card Jakub Piotr Moder
90' + 6' The game is slow to restart after Brighton fans spill onto the pitch following that dramatic equaliser.
J. Veltman
Assist
90' + 5' It was a hopeful lob over the top from Veltman, but Palace failed to deal with it and it allowed Maupay to rush through and equalise with a superb finish!
N. Maupay
Goal
90' + 5' MAUPAY! 1-1! Brighton equalise in the final seconds! Veltman volleys Guaita's goal kick right back over the top and the Palace defence gets caught out. Maupay races onto Veltman's volley to find himself through one-on-one and he keeps his composure to send a delicate lob over the goalkeeper and in!
90' + 4' Guaita collides with Duffy in the air, and the game is delayed for the goalkeeper to gather his breath.
90' + 3' Moder climbs over Mitchell to flick on Lallana's high pass, but he can only send his header into the arms of Guaita. Brighton are beginning to run out of time.
90' + 1' Five minutes of stoppage time are added on.
90' CHANCE! Gross swings a dangerous free-kick into the six-yard box. Duffy rises highest to get there first, but he can only direct his header straight at Guaita!
88' Palace have dropped deeper and they're inviting pressure now. Brighton's latest move ends with Cucurella's cross sailing over the crowd of attackers and away for a throw-in.
J. Schlupp
J. Ayew
86' Ayew is replaced by Schlupp in attack.
86' Cucurella's diagonal pass into the box almost falls for Moder, but Guaita alertly pounces on it.
C. Gallagher
Yellow Card
84' Gallagher crashes into Cucurella after taking a heavy touch and he's shown a yellow card.
83' Brighton are pushing higher and higher up the pitch as they hunt a late equaliser.
L. Trossard
Yellow Card
81' Zaha beats Trossard down the outside and he responds by hauling the attacker over to earn himself a yellow card.
79' That Palace chance underlined the pattern of the game. Brighton are straining to create chances to get back into the game, but the hosts look more potent on the break.
Cucurella
Yellow Card
77' The referee books Cucurella for his foul on Gallagher in the build up to that missed opportunity.
77' HUGE CHANCE! Cucurella mistakenly passes it to Gallagher, allowing Palace to break. Benteke receives a pass and draws in Dunk before sliding Ayew clean through on goal. Ayew composes himself as Sanchez rushes out, but he can only slot his low finish wide of the near post! Will Palace come to regret that miss?
A. Connolly
D. Welbeck
76' Welbeck is replaced up top by Connolly.
76' Welbeck is down clutching his calf, and it doesn't look like he'll be able to continue.
74' Brighton force another corner. Gross whips it in towards the near post, but Kouyate's there to head clear under little pressure.
C. Kouyaté
L. Milivojević
72' Milivojevic also heads off, with Kouyate taking his place.
C. Benteke
O. Édouard
72' Two changes for Palace. The first sees Edouard make way for Benteke up top.
72' Zaha drives dangerously into the box, but he's tackled by Veltman and Brighton clear.
70' Dunk's cross-field switch sails well over Moder near the right touchline. Brighton are looking bereft of ideas right now.
68' Palace easily clear another Gross corner.
66' Maupay's been a peripheral figure today and it's summed up Brighton's issues. The striker hasn't taken a shot so far and has managed just 23 touches.
J. Moder
S. Alzate
65' Alzate hobbles off to be replaced in midfield by Moder.
64' Alzate is down with an ankle injury and will require treatment.
62' Veltman whips in a dangerous delivery across the face of goal, but there's no Brighton player in sight to attack it.
60' Dunk rushes across to halt Zaha's run towards the byline. Brighton struggle to clear the resulting corner, but eventually Sanchez acrobatically punches it clear.
58' Brighton have pushed higher up the pitch in the second half, but it hasn't translated into creating more opportunities just yet.
56' Brighton win another promising free-kick, but Guehi clears Gross' delivery at the back post.
54' Zaha forces Sanchez into a fine save when through on goal. But it wouldn't have counted anyway - the flag was raised for offside.
53' Lallana's fierce volley from distance is blocked by Andersen.
52' Close! Dunk steers Cucurella's free-kick towards goal with a looping header that forces Guaita into tipping it over.
50' Palace start the half on the front foot, with Zaha sending in two dangerous low crosses.
48' Brighton mustered just one shot from inside the box in the first half. They'll be hoping that switching on Alzate for Burn will give them greater attacking impetus.
S. Alzate
D. Burn
46' Burn makes way for Alzate at half time. With a midfielder coming on for a defender, this could signal a change in formation for the visitors.
46' Palace get the second half underway.
After a conservative first half, Brighton will now need to show more adventure if they're to claim anything from this game.
Zaha's penalty gives Palace the lead just before the interval. This has been a tight game so far. Brighton have been - for the most part - extremely disciplined: they've committed few players forward in a bid to remain solid at the back. Palace found it hard to break them down, and Brighton actually had chances to take the lead. Both Welbeck and Trossard wastefully missed clear chances. But just before the break, Palace's possession told as Gallagher was brought down by Trossard inside the box. Zaha stepped up and made no mistake with his spot-kick to give Palace a 1-0 lead at half time.
45' + 3' HALF TIME: Crystal Palace 1-0 Brighton
W. Zaha
Penalty Goal
45' + 2' ZAHA! 1-0! Palace take the lead on the stroke of half time. Zaha steps up confidently and rolls it low into the bottom corner, sending Sanchez the wrong way!
45' + 1' PENALTY TO PALACE! Gallagher drives into the box and gets past Cucurella, before Trossard steps across and impedes the midfielder sending him to the floor. The referee immediately awards a penalty!
44' Palace continue to patiently work the ball around inside the Brighton half, but they're finding it difficult to craft many shooting opportunities.
42' Zaha takes on the backtracking Brighton defence, before sending in a low cross that narrowly evades the run of McArthur.
40' Gallagher breaks away down the right and fires in a dangerous low cross that Brighton scramble to knock clear.
38' Trossard feeds Cucurella near the byline, but Ward blocks his low cross behind. Gross' delivery falls to Lallana on the edge of the box, where the midfielder blazes a half-volley high and wide.
36' Zaha's 18-yard strike deflects off Veltman, but safely loops up into the arms of Sanchez.
34' CHANCE! Sanchez fires a long pass over the top to send Welbeck clean through. Welbeck attempts a dink over the onrushing Guaita, but the goalkeeper stands tall and keeps it out!
32' Veltman wastefully sends a cross high and wide from a good position down the right flank.
30' WIDE! Brighton make a rare foray forward. Gross shimmies past Mitchell near the byline, before drilling in a low cross for Trossard who can only direct his effort into the side netting from close range!
A. Lallana
Yellow Card
28' McArthur bursts past Lallana in midfield, but the Brighton player pulls him down and is shown a yellow card.
26' Milivojevic attempts to catch Sanchez out by shooting from a tight angle with a free-kick from 30 yards out, but his effort trickles comfortably wide of the near post.
24' Guehi hits a crisp throughball in search of Edouard, but Duffy stretches to cut it out.
22' Brighton have prioritised being solid at the back so far, and they've yet to pose Palace any real problems.
20' Edouard swivels on the edge of the box, before curling a tame effort straight at Sanchez.
18' Milivojevic's powerful 25-yard strike is charged down by Dunk.
16' It could be difficult for Palace to break through this disciplined Brighton defence today. Only Manchester City (six) have faced fewer shots on target in the Premier League than Brighton (13) so far this season. Meanwhile, Palace have had fewer shots on target than any side in the league this season (11)
14' Brighton have had to absorb plenty of pressure so far, and they attempt to settle into the game with a long spell of possession inside their own half.
12' Ward's cross is too powerful and sails over Zaha at the back post.
11' Palace have made a strong start. They've pinned Brighton in, and - although they haven't tested Sanchez yet - they've looked threatening in the final third.
9' Close! Gallagher darts inside of Gross, before bending a fierce strike from 12 yards that Dunk bravely heads behind! That would have been difficult for Sanchez to keep out if it wasn't for Dunk!
7' Palace win another corner as Dunk blocks Ayew's 25-yard effort behind. Milivojevic's set-piece drifts to the back post where it's easily cleared.
5' Welbeck races past Ward to kickstart a promising counter-attack! He takes it all the way towards the edge of the box, before his one-two with Maupay ricochets to Guehi, allowing the hosts to clear.
3' Gallagher plays it off Duffy to force an early corner for the hosts. Milivojevic whips it in towards the near post, but Burn is there to head clear.
1' Brighton get the first half underway.
The players are emerging from the tunnel and kick off is just seconds away!
Despite their strong form, recent history is against Brighton in this one: Crystal Palace are unbeaten in their last four league meetings with Brighton (won two, drawn two), though both victories in this run have come away from home.
Brighton make 10 changes to the side that knocked Swansea City out of the EFL Cup during the week. The main headline is that top scorer, Maupay, returns up top to partner Welbeck. Meanwhile, Lamptey drops down to the bench as Brighton continue to nurture the young defender back into the team following a long spell out with injury.
Palace two changes to the side that lost 3-0 to Liverpool last time out: Benteke is replaced up top by new signing Edouard, while Kouyate makes way for Milivojevic in midfield.
