  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Ahead of the 2023-24 campaign, it was revealed that the Red Dragons’ prolific No.10 had been honoured with a piece of giant artwork in North Wales. His face now adorns the side of the Fat Boar pub – where promotion-winning celebrations have been held by Phil Parkinson’s squad in the past.

    WHAT MULLIN SAID

Wrexham fan Liam Stoke-Massy, along with his wife Luka, are responsible for the design. Mullin is a big fan and has told the Men In Blazers podcast of being immortalised in a similar fashion to Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp on Merseyside: “I’m so privileged and I’m so proud, for my family more than anything. I’m ultra privileged to have that treatment. I’m a Liverpool fan, I go to Anfield quite a lot, and walk past the murals of absolute legends in Liverpool Football Club. To see fans and people go out of their way to try and make me feel special around the club, to see the happiness that I have brought them, it’s so much pride. I’m one of those people, I just want to make sure it doesn’t go away – I’ve got to keep performing and doing well to make sure we keep the success story going.”

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Mullin netted 26 goals for Wrexham in 2023-24, passing 100 for the club in total, and has helped them into League One. On the Red Dragons’ ambition for the immediate future, he added: “With the team, it’s just to keep creating success. We have got the mentality where we have created a winning mentality within the group and we want to win every single game. To do that you have to work as hard as you can every single day and keep doing what we’ve done for two years. As you go up the levels, your ability gets tested. It’s also your mentality, you cant get carried away with success – you have to keep driving each other on to make sure that doesn’t happen. It’s going to be a challenge, but it’s one I’m looking forward to. When I signed for the club, I signed here for success and to enjoy a journey. Now we’re three years down the line and it’s been a phenomenal journey, but I want to keep it going as long as possible. Personally, I just want happiness. I’ve never been this happy in my life, so long may it continue.”
