<p>According to the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13953211/Wrexham-set-secure-pathway-European-football-FA-chiefs-consider-radical-Prosiect-Cymru-plan.html" target="_blank">Daily Mail</a>, the Football Association of Wales is backing the proposal. Influential members of the FAW believe that adding Cardiff, Newport, Swansea and Wrexham to the Welsh League Cup would boost investment throughout Welsh football. Wrexham, with their growing fanbase thanks to Reynolds and McElhenney's support - especially in the United States - would likely bring significant attention to the competition, increasing its visibility and appeal.</p>
