Ugarte joined United from Paris Saint-Germain last summer in a deadline day deal, as they wanted a long-term defensive midfielder to eventually succeed Casemiro at Old Trafford. THE BIGGER PICTURE

Casemiro, himself, has also struggled a lot for form as well since he shifted to Old Trafford from Real Madrid, however, the 33-year-old has gained some form, as showcased in his solid Europa League performances in the knockout rounds. Ugarte still remains United's preferred option going into next season, and Ugarte has revealed he is learning a lot from the Brazilian legend.

  • WHAT UGARTE SAID

Speaking to the media, Ugarte said: “I'm learning a lot with [Casemiro]. I have very good relations with Case. I try to copy as much as I can, all the good things that he has as a player.

“And not only inside the pitch, but outside the pitch too. These are things that make you win, because he's a winner. I feel very comfortable.

"I speak a lot with Casemiro, and up until now I keep learning and I'm very happy.”
