Tottenham Hotspur were once again the butt of everyone’s jokes on Saturday as they threw away two points in a 3-3 draw at bottom club Southampton.
Leading 3-1 with 13 minutes to play, Spurs somehow managed to concede twice in the latter stages, with Theo Walcott’s goal and a James Ward-Prowse penalty ensuring the points were shared.
It could prove to be a valuable point for struggling Southampton, but for Spurs, it may soon be the day to get the St. Totteringham Day flags out as Tottenham again snatch ‘defeat’ from the jaws of victory.
Needless to say, supporters were amused at their latest collapse.
