Antony, who has endured a difficult season with the Red Devils this season, hit out at former United players, saying that they <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-winger-antony-furious-response-malicious-criticism-playing-catchup-missing-us-pre-season-tour/bltdd746ae5ef4d9bef" target="_blank">offer no "constructive criticism" and accused them of being "unfair and malicious"</a> towards him.

Scholes has given the former Ajax star a few words of advice as he responded to Antony's take, writing on his Instagram Story: "Run as fast as you can up and down, score goals, and make goals pls. Good luck tonight my friend."

Antony was named in the starting XI for United's home game against Chelsea in the Premier League on Wednesday. The 23-year-old will hope to end his dry spell by contributing to a goal for the first time this season.
