However, the voting records released by FIFA revealed that Ronaldo, usually the designated captain for Portugal, did not cast votes for the award. Instead, Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva assumed the responsibility, choosing Rodri, Vinícius, and Erling Haaland as his top three picks.</p>
