  • WHAT HAPPENED?

English forward Fletcher was ruled out of action from the Huddersfield clash due to a knee injury as the toothless Red Dragons played out a disappointing goalless draw in League One on Tuesday. Parkinson's men were far from convincing on the pitch as they failed to create many goalscoring opportunities.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

While Wrexham dropped crucial two points, on the same night Tom Brady-owned Birmingham City beat Bolton Wanderers 2-0 to extend their lead to four points over the Welsh side at the top of the League One table. The Red Dragons were further rocked by the news of Jack Marriott being ruled out for four months due to an injury.

  • WHAT PHIL PARKINSON SAID

Speaking to reporters after the match, the manager said of Fletcher's absence: "Fletch is a real problem, a real blow for us. It flared up over the weekend."

Parkinson also admitted that Wrexham might be forced to look for free agents before the January transfer window opens after losing two of their main attackers to injuries.
