Phil Foden returns! England star on his way back to Euro 2024 camp after travelling home for the birth of his child

The Manchester City star returned home for a 'pressing family matter' earlier this week, which was later revealed to be his girlfriend Rebecca Cooke giving birth to their third child. Now, Sky Sports reports the 24-year-old is heading back to Germany to link up with Gareth Southgate's squad.

The report adds Foden is expected to be back in time for a closed training session with England on Friday, meaning he will be available for their crunch knockout stages clash with Slovakia on Sunday night.

Foden, who started in England's group games against Serbia, Denmark, and Slovenia, scored 27 goals and bagged 12 assists for City as they won an historic fourth-straight Premier League title this season.

Foden will hope to start once again when England face Slovakia this weekend. The City academy product has struggled at times for the Three Lions this tournament, so it remains to be seen if he will make their starting line-up.
